Join the 2027 GLF Social Media Ambassadors Program
Applications are open for the 2027 GLF Social Media Ambassadors Program, an opportunity for young digital storytellers and content creators to join a global network using social media to highlight landscape issues and inspire action.
The programme, led by the Global Landscapes Forum (GLF), is looking for young people who are already using their online platforms to share stories, engage communities and encourage practical action around environmental and landscape issues. The focus is not simply on the size of an audience, but on the ability to bring local perspectives, lived experience and knowledge from the ground into wider environmental conversations.
About the GLF Social Media Ambassadors Program
Landscapes are shaped by the people who live, work and depend on them, yet environmental stories are often told by voices far removed from the communities experiencing these realities.
The 2027 GLF Social Media Ambassadors Program seeks to broaden those narratives by supporting digital storytellers who can bring authentic, locally grounded perspectives to environmental conversations.
Ambassadors will become part of a global community of content creators and advocates working to encourage people to think and act landscape.
The programme is particularly relevant to young people who use social media to educate, mobilize and connect their communities around issues affecting nature, climate, land, food systems and sustainable development.
Why This Opportunity Matters
Environmental challenges are experienced differently across communities and landscapes. Local voices can therefore play an important role in explaining these realities and showing how communities are responding.
The GLF Social Media Ambassadors Program creates space for young people who are already telling these stories online to reach wider audiences while contributing to a more diverse and locally grounded environmental narrative.
Whether through videos, photography, written stories, social media campaigns or other forms of digital content, participants can use their existing platforms to help connect people with the landscapes around them.
