Apply for the Relief & Resilience: WFP Innovation Challenge 2024 with funding of up to $100,000

The WFP Innovation Challenge: Relief & Resilience 2024 is currently accepting applications. The World Food Programme (WFP) held its most recent Innovation Challenge in an effort to find ground-breaking ideas that will alleviate suffering, promote resilience, and put an end to hunger.

More than one-tenth of the world's population—more than 828 million people—still goes to bed hungry every night. At this writing, 333 million people worldwide are acutely food insecure. This is a record high.

Concurrently, the cost of delivering food aid has increased to previously unheard-of levels due to rising food and gasoline prices.

Millions of people now lack access to food due to rising food and transportation costs, which is exacerbated by the pandemic's economic effects, climate change, and the crisis in Ukraine. This has put a heavy burden on WFP's operations.

The goal of this year's WFP Innovation Challenge is to find and encourage game-changing social innovations that tackle important issues in the battle against hunger.

They want to make sure that every donation dollar goes farther towards combating hunger while lowering the need for ration cuts, thus they are especially interested in solutions for supply chain resilience and humanitarian assistance.

The application deadline is on rolling.
