FULLY FUNDED TO THE UNITED STATES: Apply for the Halcyon Climate Resilience and Food Security in African fellowship 2025
Applications are now invited for the 2025 Africa Climate Resilience and Food Security Entrepreneurship Program. This initiative will unite innovative entrepreneurs from across Africa, equipping them to tackle climate resilience and food security challenges. Successful applicants will receive expert mentorship, vital resources to accelerate their ventures, and participate in two intensive in-person residencies - one in Washington, DC, and another in Nairobi, Kenya.
Program Structure:
- A cohort of up to 10 ventures will be selected, operating in or serving African countries
- Participants will undergo training in product-market fit, investment readiness, and leadership using Halcyon's proven methodology
- The program comprises:
- Virtual kickoff meeting
- One-week Nairobi residency
- Monthly virtual sessions
- One-week Washington, DC residency
Eligible Sectors:
- Solutions addressing climate resilience and food security in Africa, including:
- Climate-resilient agriculture and food systems
- Water technology
- Blue economy
- Renewable energy
- Green building
- Climate data
Eligibility Criteria:
- For-profit startups building scalable solutions for climate resilience and food security in Africa
- Ventures must be based in or serving African countries
- Minimum Viable Product (MVP) with scaling potential required
- Full-time commitment to the venture necessary
- Up to one co-founder may apply alongside the CEO/primary decision-maker
- Fluency in English required
- Minimum age of 21 by the program's start date
- Participation in all program activities and sessions mandatory
- Contribution to one or more UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) required
