The maximum grant for 1 year is $3000 USD

Projects must:
- Be centered on nature conservation and education.
- Support endangered or threatened species or habitats.
- Include a public education aspect.
- Engage the local population.
- Have a lasting impact on local residents.
- Be completed within one year.

Preference is given to applicants with a history of relevant conservation work.
Applicants from countries outside the United States are particularly encouraged to apply.
U.S. researchers conducting work abroad must have at least one local collaborator and ensure the project benefits local communities.
