Echoing Green Fellowship Program Now Accepting Applications
The Echoing Green Fellowship is calling for applications from innovative leaders, activists, and community organizers committed to making substantial positive change in the world. The fellowship offers essential tools, resources, and support networks to help these leaders scale their impact and bring their transformative ideas to life.
**Who Are They Seeking?**
Echoing Green seeks bold, visionary leaders who tackle today’s most pressing challenges with creativity and determination. They aim to foster a future free from systemic racism and its widespread effects, ensuring equitable opportunities for all to flourish. The fellowship is designed for individuals whose ventures are in the early stages of development and who have deep expertise in the issues they are addressing. Applicants should be closely connected to the communities they serve and actively involve these communities in co-creating solutions.
**Eligibility Criteria**
**Individual Requirements**
Applicants must be at least 18 years old by **June 1, 2025**. To participate fully in the fellowship’s programs, applicants must be proficient in English, as all communications and support are provided in that language. Echoing Green welcomes individuals with visual, hearing, or speech disabilities and will provide reasonable accommodations to ensure full participation.
Eligible applicants must be the "original founders" of their ventures, meaning they conceived the organization or initiative. Individuals who joined the organization after its founding are not eligible. Applicants must hold a leadership role within their organization, either as the sole founder or as a co-founder, and have ultimate decision-making power over the organization's strategy and growth. While Echoing Green fellows may maintain other professional responsibilities, the work outlined in the fellowship application must be their primary focus, requiring a commitment of at least **40 hours per week**.
**Organizational Requirements**
Organizations with fiscal sponsors can apply, provided the sponsor does not exercise control over the organization's decision-making. To qualify, the applicant must retain full authority to make decisions independently for the organization. If another entity or organization holds decision-making power, the applicant will not be eligible.
Echoing Green targets organizations that need financial support to launch or expand their work. Eligible ventures typically operate with full-time staff for less than five years and require additional resources to strengthen and sustain their activities. Organizations that are more established, with defined program models, strategic plans, basic operational infrastructure, a funding base, and active governance structures, may not be considered early-stage enough to qualify for the fellowship.
