DEADLINE APPROACHING : Apply for The Earthshot Prize Youth Programme ,Africa |Fully Funded to Cape Town

The Earthshot Prize, established by Prince William in 2020, aims to find and scale the most innovative solutions to the world’s most pressing environmental challenges. It focuses on five key Earthshots—bold, universal targets for 2030 developed with top environmental experts: Protect and Restore Nature, Clean Our Air, Revive Our Oceans, Build a Waste-Free World, and Fix Our Climate. Each year, five winners with the most promising solutions to these goals receive £1 million to further their initiatives.

In November 2024, the annual Earthshot Prize celebration will be held in Cape Town, South Africa for the first time. Earthshot Week 2024 will feature four days of high-profile events, showcasing cutting-edge environmental solutions and bringing together global leaders to promote the protection and restoration of the planet.

What to Anticipate
You'll immerse yourself in seminars, panels, and immersive learning experiences spanning five days. Highlights consist of:

Learning and self-discovery: Match your own goals with significant environmental change.
Leadership and introspection: Through enlightening workshops, uncover your potential as an environmental leader.
Storytelling with impact: Develop your storytelling abilities to highlight your work on climate change.
Career and networking: Create a personalised green career action plan and establish connections with international environmental leaders.
Access to Earthshot Week only available to you: Take part in The Earthshot Prize 2024 Awards Ceremony and other significant Earthshot Week events.

Program Benefits
All program expenses are paid, including lodging, local transportation to program locations, and meals. Internal return flights within Africa are also included if you do not live in Cape Town.

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must be recognized as advocates for eco-innovation, showing a strong commitment to taking tangible action on climate change and environmental challenges. They should demonstrate a passion for learning and leadership, with a keen interest in using their voice or social platforms to highlight inspiring efforts in the fight against climate change.

For students, maintaining above-average academic performance and a proven history of working in teams on outcome-driven projects over a considerable time is essential. Participants must also be open to sharing a room with another candidate during their stay in Cape Town.

The program is open to youth aged 18-35, residing in Africa. While all program costs, including flights, meals, local transport, and 4-night accommodation, are covered, participants are responsible for any additional personal expenses.
