Empowering Women Leaders in Public Health
WomenLift Health invites mid-career women leaders from Southern Africa to apply for its inaugural leadership program. This fully-funded, 12-month journey equips participants with the skills and networks needed to address complex public health challenges.
Program Overview
- Duration: March 2025 - February 2026
- Fully-funded, including travel and lodging
- In-person residences: 3-day Immersion (April 23-25, 2025) and 2-day Lift-Off (January 28-29, 2026)
They seek women who:
- Have 10-25 years of work experience
- Are citizens of Angola, Botswana, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, South Africa, eSwatini, Zambia, or Zimbabwe
- Work in public health policy, practice, or research
- Demonstrate English fluency
Participants will:
- Explore authentic leadership through self-reflection
- Build diverse networks and foster belonging
- Enhance voice, presence, and influence
- Receive mentorship and coaching
- Address individual, organizational, and societal challenges
Program Structure
- Develop a project idea and implementation plan
- Work with mentors, coaches, and African health experts
- Present project outcomes at the Leadership Lift-Off event
