Applications are now open for the 2025 Watson Institute BMO Fellowship. This fully-funded venture and leadership program is designed to support diverse and high-potential environmental sustainability entrepreneurs and leaders.

It offers award-winning training in entrepreneurship, sustainability, and leadership to help participants grow their sustainability-focused ventures and tackle key challenges in their communities.

The Fellowship is specifically geared toward individuals from historically underserved communities who have personal experience with the challenges they seek to address.

Venture Stage:
You are a purpose-driven entrepreneur with a developed product, traction, and revenue. The Fellowship is designed for entrepreneurs in the "missing middle" stage—those who have moved beyond the prototype phase but need further support to grow. You lead a sustainability-focused venture or community initiative in its early stages and have demonstrated measurable community impact, with engaged customers and results in both revenue and impact. Ideal candidates are at the Problem-Solution Fit or Product-Market Fit stages.

Commitment:
You are prepared to fully commit to the 16-week program, including a 2-week virtual immersive experience. The Fellowship prioritizes individuals who are fully invested in participating actively throughout the program. A strong sense of community is central to the program, and its success depends on the active participation of all Fellows who are eager to both learn and contribute.

Program Details

- Dates: March 3 to June 26, 2025 (16 weeks).
- Format: Weekly virtual workshops, with local gatherings and events when possible. Workshops are held on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm MT, requiring 6-8 hours of weekly commitment.
- Immersive: A 2-week virtual immersive starting on March 3, 2025, requiring 10-15 hours per week, sets the foundation for the Fellowship’s community-driven approach.
