3000 EURO STIPENDS: Apply for the African Union and European Union (AU-EU) Champions Programme for young content creators

The AU-EU Champions initiative, a collaborative effort between the African Union and the European Union, is designed to amplify the positive outcomes of various policies, programs, and projects across Africa. This is achieved by engaging African creators such as TikTokers, Instagrammers, YouTubers, vloggers, and podcasters to share their unique perspectives and storytelling skills.

In its inaugural edition, five pilot countries have been chosen: Cameroon, Ghana, Kenya, Morocco, and Mozambique. These nations represent the five regions of the African Union, ensuring a balance of languages—English, French, and Portuguese. Each country also boasts a vibrant social media landscape and is home to impactful AU-EU initiatives. The project seeks creative individuals residing in these countries who have a strong presence on social media, excellent storytelling capabilities, and consistently produce high-quality audio-visual content.

Participants in the AU-EU Champions project will enjoy a range of exciting benefits, including a financial compensation of 3,000 EUR. Additionally, they will receive a tailored training program, in-country transportation to visit AU-EU projects, and accommodation near these project sites.

The opportunity also offers significant exposure, with participants featured on social media platforms of the EU, AU, and partnering organizations. Furthermore, participants can expect attention from local, regional, and international media, and may even be invited to represent the AU-EU at special events.

To apply, candidates are required to submit a video no longer than 90 seconds in which they introduce themselves.

The video should include details about their area of expertise, examples of previous clients, and the type of content they typically produce. Applicants should also describe the impact of their work and mention the number of followers they have.

Additionally, they must explain their motivation for applying to the Champions project, demonstrate their knowledge of both the African Union and the European Union, and select one AU-EU project from their country to cover.

Lastly, applicants should provide a brief overview of how they would approach covering the chosen project.

It is important to note that videos exceeding 90 seconds will not be considered.
