WITH A FULLY FUNDED TRIP TO FRANCE : Apply now for Eco Skills Challenge 2025

The Eiffage believes that the building, concession, and energy sectors will be able to face the difficulties of climate change and the preservation of living things thanks to collective intelligence.

To put your skills to use in creating solutions that support the ecological transition, they are inviting you to take part in their second student challenge, the Eco Skills Challenge!

Form a team of 2 to 5 motivated students, propose an idea that addresses one of the four proposed themes, and secure a spot in the final to present your idea to a panel of esteemed experts.

Themes:

Low Carbon: Being eco-conscious means taking action on climate.
Climate change is a proven reality with human causes. To mitigate its effects and limit long-term irreversible changes, rapid reductions in greenhouse gas emissions are essential.
Considerations:
- Lowering the carbon footprint of activities and industries;
- Engaging stakeholders such as suppliers, subcontractors, major clients, and R&D partners in low-carbon efforts;
- Implementing alternative methods, processes, and materials to achieve measurable carbon reductions.

Biodiversity: Eco-consciousness is in our nature.
Preserving biodiversity is a key challenge of the 21st century. Since 2009, Eiffage has pursued an active policy of reducing its biodiversity footprint.

Considerations:
- Enhancing urban nature for improved well-being and comfort;
- Promoting sustainable urban and peri-urban agriculture to reduce the food footprint of city residents;
- Limiting the use of natural resources like soil, water, and minerals;
- Addressing the “grey biodiversity” of materials;
- Restoring degraded ecosystems by de-impermeabilizing, depolluting, and renaturing;
- Reducing biodiversity disturbances and raising awareness on environmental issues.

Water & Aquatic Environments: Protecting water resources is essential.
How can we safeguard water resources and wetlands?

Considerations
- Ensuring sustainable preservation of water resources throughout their cycle (from capture to use);
- Avoiding negative impacts on wetlands and minimizing water pollution risks;
- Adapting to local environmental constraints.

Circular Economy: Embracing eco-responsibility means closing the loop.
To combat resource scarcity, it is crucial to reduce and optimize the use of raw materials (such as aggregates, oil, and metals) at every stage of a project’s life cycle. Eco-design and material recovery are key priorities of the Group’s Circular Economy charter.

Considerations:
- Assessing and reducing raw material needs at the source;
- Promoting the use of recycled or reused materials;
- Encouraging customers to rehabilitate and recycle;
- Improving waste management through sorting and traceability;
- Extending the lifespan of products and infrastructure.

Don't miss out on the application deadline which is February 9,  2025 at 11:59 p.m.
