This program aims to expose participants to structured trade finance and the Bank’s mandate, providing a platform to gain practical experience while contributing innovative ideas.

Program Benefits
Although interns are responsible for their own personal costs, such as lodging and meals, Afreximbank provides the following:

Travel expenses: transportation back to the internship site.
Stipend: A monthly housing allowance of USD 400 and a tax-free stipend of USD 800.
Accommodations: Upon arrival, a one-week stay in a bed & breakfast hotel.
Transportation: When departing, transfers are made from the airport to the hotel and back.
Visa: Help in securing a resident visa for the internship's term.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates need to fulfil the following prerequisites:

Enrolment: Students enrolled full-time in undergraduate or graduate programs at an accredited university.
Study Subjects: Economics, finance, business administration, law, the sciences, engineering, and allied subjects are preferred.
Nationality: Non-Africans who share a vision for Africa, students from Afreximbank member nations, and people of African descent living abroad.
Language: Proficiency in French or English is required; proficiency in Arabic or Portuguese is preferred.
Age range: 20–32 years old while applying.
Additional Requirements: Afreximbank employees' children are not permitted to apply.
