FUNDED : The African Union CIEFFA Calls for Applications for 6th Youth Capacity Building Program – Apply now
The African Union International Center for Girls and Women's Education has announced the call for applications for the 2024 session of its Capacity Building Program for Youth Champions on Gender Equality in Education.
This program, now in its sixth edition, is organized by the Department of Education, Science, Technology, and Innovation of the African Union Commission.
Launched in 2017, this flagship initiative of AU CIEFFA aims to develop youth leaders advocating for girls' education. It equips young Africans with the necessary knowledge, skills, and tools to promote gender equality through education and empowers them to foster positive change in their communities.
The 2024 session is scheduled for November in Addis Ababa. This year, the program focuses on opinion leaders from across Africa, such as social activists, youth leaders, web journalists, podcasters, content creators, and youth representatives in policy spaces. The goal is to amplify the reach and implementation of the African Union's #AfricaEducatesHer campaign.

Additional Information
- Have demonstrated experience in youth leadership, advocacy, and social development.
- Be involved in campaigns or initiatives that support girls' and women's education in Africa.
- Act as opinion leaders, capable of mobilizing and inspiring others through social media, community work, journalism, entrepreneurship, or activism.
- Have experience speaking at events or engaging with media.
- Share the vision and goals of the AU CIEFFA regarding girls' and women's education.
- Be citizens of one of the 55 African Union Member States, aged between 23 and 35.
- Possess a valid passport with at least 6 months of validity and 3 blank pages.
- Be available to participate in all aspects of the Youth Capacity Building workshop, including preparatory and follow-up activities.
