The 2025 Global Investigative Journalism Conference Fellowship is now accepting applications. This fellowship program, supported by sponsors and partners, provides journalists from the Global South and historically underrepresented communities with the opportunity to attend this prominent event. The selection process is highly competitive, so applicants are encouraged to demonstrate how they plan to apply the valuable skills gained at GIJC25.
Eligibility Requirements
The fellowship is open to full-time journalists across various media, including print, online, television, radio, documentary, and multimedia formats. Freelance journalists who work full-time are also eligible, provided they reside in developing or transitioning nations. Experience in investigative or data journalism is preferred. Benefits of the GIJC25 Full Fellowship
The fellowship package includes:
•Round-trip airfare to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
•Accommodation for four nights
•Transportation between Kuala Lumpur International Airport and the conference venue
•Admission to a welcome reception on the evening of November 20
•Daily breakfast during conference days (November 21-24)
•Lunch provided on full conference days (November 21-23)
•A dinner and awards ceremony on the evening of November 23
