FULLY FUNDED TO TAIWAN: Apply for the Taiwan CDF International Higher Education Scholarship program 2025
Applications are now open for the 2025 TaiwanICDF International Higher Education Scholarship Program. This initiative, a core component of TaiwanICDF’s educational mission, offers fully-funded scholarships to exceptional students from eligible partner countries. The program enables students to pursue undergraduate, master’s, or doctoral degrees at prestigious universities in Taiwan, with financial support provided in collaboration with local academic institutions.
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must meet the following conditions:
1.Hold citizenship from a country listed as eligible for the TaiwanICDF Scholarship and meet any specific requirements set by their home country or government.
2.Not hold citizenship of the Republic of China (Taiwan) or be classified as an overseas compatriot student.
3.Fulfill the admission requirements of the Taiwanese partner university they wish to attend.
4.Be eligible to obtain a Resident Visa (Code: FS) as mandated by the Bureau of Consular Affairs and an Alien Resident Certificate (ARC) from the Ministry of the Interior, Taiwan. Scholarships may be withdrawn if these visa requirements are not met.
5.Agree not to hold another Taiwan government-funded scholarship, such as the Taiwan Scholarship, during the same academic year.
6.For applicants who previously received a TaiwanICDF, MOFA, or MOE scholarship, they must have graduated by July 31, 2024, to apply for the 2025 scholarship.
7.Submit their highest educational qualification certificate by July 31, 2025. Applicants unable to provide this certification by the deadline are advised to apply in the following year.
8.Have no history of having a scholarship revoked by any Taiwan government institution or expulsion from a Taiwanese university.
Scholarship Benefits
The TaiwanICDF scholarship provides comprehensive financial support covering all expenses throughout the study period. Benefits include:
1.Airfare: Students will receive fully-funded economy-class round-trip tickets. Applicants are advised to check airline policies on luggage allowances and additional costs.
2.Accommodation: Scholarship recipients are required to stay in university dormitories, with housing costs fully covered.
3.Tuition and Credit Fees: All tuition and credit fees, as specified by the student’s university, will be paid for by the TaiwanICDF.
4.Insurance: Mandatory student safety and health insurance coverage will be provided during the study period.
5.Textbook Costs: Costs for required textbooks will be reimbursed, subject to approval from the student’s institute director.
6.Monthly Allowance:
•Master’s Students: A monthly stipend of NT$18,000 will be provided for living and food expenses, deposited directly into the student’s local bank account.
•Ph.D. Students: A monthly stipend of NT$20,000 will be provided for living and food expenses, also deposited into the student’s local bank account.
