JOB OPPORTUNITY : Climate Science Alliance is seeking a Climate Education and Engagement Coordinator 

The Climate Science Alliance is seeking a Climate Education and Engagement Coordinator to join its team. This role involves the development and implementation of climate education programs across the U.S., Mexico, the Caribbean, and Tribal Nations, focusing on advancing climate literacy and enhancing community resilience. The position is a full-time, in-person opportunity with the potential for a one-year apprenticeship and offers possibilities for long-term career development.

The selected candidate will collaborate with various partners to create climate education resources, organize community outreach activities, and provide support to educators and youth. This role requires close work with the Director of Education and Engagement to implement climate science projects, workshops, and training programs, contributing to local and regional climate solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in developing and managing climate education resources, including curricula and youth engagement activities.
  • Coordinate educator training, youth-focused events, and community outreach programs.
  • Build and maintain relationships with local educators, Tribal Nations, and other partners in the U.S., Mexico, and the Caribbean.
  • Provide project management support, including tracking progress and reporting on key activities.
  • Represent the organization at public speaking events, conferences, and other professional development opportunities.

Terms:

  • Position Type: 1-year apprenticeship with potential for extension.
  • Location: Based in San Diego, with occasional weekend events.
