Fellowship Overview: Introduced in mid-2023, the GenMH University Mental Health Fellowship is a six-month, funded initiative aimed at undergraduate students. It is designed to empower young leaders who have identified specific mental health challenges on their campuses and are ready to develop and implement impactful solutions.
Participants in the fellowship take part in a structured program that includes targeted workshops and personalized mentorship. These components equip them with the skills and support needed to design, launch, and assess mental health interventions within their university communities.
GenMH is currently accepting applications from experienced professionals, activists, and community leaders to serve as mentors for the 2025 cohort. The selected fellows, representing universities across Africa and Asia, are working on innovative projects addressing key mental health topics, including eco-anxiety, substance use among youth, suicide prevention, media advocacy, and mental health awareness.
