Applications are now open for The GreenXMENA Regional Youth Conference for Youth Interested in Water and Climate Action.

The Arab Youth Green Voices Network in partnership with Green Gate 4 MENA is launching the inaugural GreenXMENA Regional Youth Conference, scheduled to take place in Tunisia from October 29 to 31, 2025 (final dates are subject to slight changes). This year’s theme is “Youth for Water and Climate Resilience.”

As the first youth-led regional forum of its kind, GreenXMENA 2025 will bring together young changemakers from across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) to focus on the urgent challenges of water scarcity and climate resilience. The gathering is designed to empower youth voices, foster collaborative innovation, and align efforts with global priorities—particularly Sustainable Development Goals 13 (Climate Action) and 6 (Clean Water and Sanitation).

One of the conference’s key objectives is to co-develop a youth-led action plan and policy paper, which will be presented at high-level international events, including COP30 in Belém (November 2025), the UN Water Conference in Dubai (December 2026), and the World Water Forum in Riyadh (March 2027). These contributions aim to boost youth visibility in global policy spaces and integrate their solutions into broader climate and water strategies. Participants will also gain opportunities to connect with regional partners and institutions supporting environmental youth work.

• Water, Climate & Resilience Intersections:
  Examining how climate change, water stress, and regional instability are interconnected in MENA, and exploring both innovative and indigenous approaches to strengthen resilience.

• Justice, Equity & Indigenous Knowledge:
  Addressing environmental challenges through the lens of social equity, while incorporating community-based and traditional knowledge systems to support vulnerable populations.

• Youth Leadership & Policy Engagement:
  Empowering young people to drive policy change, shape multi-sector collaborations, and promote meaningful participation in regional and global decision-making processes on climate and water issues.
