Applications are open for the 2026 Mastercard Foundation Innovation and Technology Scholarship at Arizona State University (ASU), offering a fully funded opportunity for young African leaders to pursue a 2-year master’s degree in technology, innovation, and sustainable solutions. The program aims to train 120 exceptional African professionals over five years, with 30 scholarships available for the 2026/2027 academic year. Eligible graduate programs include MS Global Technology and Development, MS Information Technology, MS Human Systems Engineering – Intelligent Systems, MS User Experience, MSc Computer Science, MS Data Science, Analytics & Engineering, MS Robotics & Autonomous Systems, MS Civil, Environmental & Sustainable Engineering, MS Clean Energy Systems, and MS Modern Energy Production & Sustainable Use. The scholarship covers full tuition, books, and fees; accommodation and on-campus housing; visa, airfare, and medical expenses; leadership training, mentorship, and professional development; paid part-time work opportunities at ASU; and a funded 2-month internship between year 1 and year 2. Applicants must be citizens of African countries aged 18–33, recent graduates with a bachelor’s degree earned by August 2026, have a strong academic record and leadership in community service, and demonstrate a commitment to return home and contribute to Africa’s development. The program starts in August 2026 in Phoenix, Arizona, USA. Women, refugees, displaced persons, and individuals with disabilities are strongly encouraged to apply. The application deadline is Sunday, 14 September 2025, 23:59 GMT. Please note that applicants should not apply directly to ASU before being shortlisted; only complete, eligible applications will be considered, and final results will be announced by February 2026.
