Applications are now open for the Graduate Degree Fellowship at the East‑West Center, offered in partnership with the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa. This fellowship provides fully funded support for Master’s and Doctoral students from the United States and Asia‑Pacific countries to pursue graduate studies while participating in leadership, cultural exchange, and professional development programs.

Program Benefits
Fellows receive full financial support for graduate study at UH Mānoa. This includes tuition and fees, a stipend, housing in East-West Center residence halls, and health insurance. The program also covers books, materials, and partial meal allowances. On top of that, fellows have opportunities to participate in internships, leadership development projects, team-building activities, cultural exchange, and travel or conference funding (where available). Being embedded in the Center’s community also means connecting with scholars from many countries and building networks that endure after graduation. 
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) and meet academic standards (minimum GPA often around 3.0 on a 4.0 scale or equivalent). They must also demonstrate English proficiency (TOEFL, IELTS, or other recognized tests) unless exempted by having studied in English recently. Applicants must apply both to a graduate program at University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa and for this fellowship. Eligible applicants come from the United States or from countries in Asia and the Pacific region that meet East-West Center’s criteria.
