Applications are open for the 2026–2027 cohort of the World Food Forum (WFF) Youth Policy Board (YPB). This exciting opportunity invites passionate young leaders from around the world to play a central role in shaping and governing the WFF Youth Assembly. The YPB is a dynamic body of young professionals committed to driving meaningful dialogue and policy action around agrifood systems, youth empowerment, and sustainable development.
As members of the Youth Policy Board, selected individuals will be responsible for guiding the strategic direction and governance of the Youth Assembly, contributing their expertise, creativity, and perspectives to global discussions on food security and sustainability. Interested applicants are encouraged to review the Youth Policy Board Terms of Reference (TOR) carefully before applying, as this document provides detailed information about the responsibilities and expectations of YPB members.
Eligible candidates must be between 19 and 35 years old as of 30 April 2027 and should have completed high school, with enrollment in or completion of a bachelor’s degree program. Applicants must demonstrate at least C1-level proficiency in spoken and written English, while proficiency in additional UN languages is considered an asset. Candidates should be able to dedicate approximately 25 hours per month to YPB duties, including participation in weekly meetings. Around 20 hours will focus on core responsibilities such as regional or thematic work, with the remaining five hours dedicated to cross-cutting areas of engagement. A strong interest or background in agrifood systems, policy advocacy, or youth leadership is highly valued.
Individuals currently employed by FAO, immediate family members of FAO employees, current or former WFF Young Scientists, or those applying for a third term with the YPB are not eligible to apply.
Applications must be submitted by 15 November 2025 at 23:59 CET (Rome time). Final selections will be announced by 30 April 2026.
