Apply for the World Food Forum CultivatED Global School Assembly 2026

Applications are open for the World Food Forum (WFF) CultivatED Global School Assembly 2026, an international learning and dialogue opportunity inviting secondary schools to explore the future of agrifood systems.

Held under the theme “CultivatED: Young Minds Nourish Agrifood Systems,” the assembly will bring together students, educators, experts and communities to explore issues including food security, sustainability, climate action and the transformation of agrifood systems.

The event will take place on 13 October 2026 at the FAO Headquarters in Rome, Italy, with an online participation option.

About the Global School Assembly

The Global School Assembly is the World Food Forum's flagship educational gathering for school students. It provides a platform for young people to share their experiences, exchange ideas and discuss the challenges and opportunities affecting food and agriculture in their communities.

Through the assembly, students will have an opportunity to connect with peers from different backgrounds while engaging with experts and educators working on agrifood systems.

The event also aims to encourage students to become active participants in efforts to build more sustainable and resilient food systems.

A Platform for Youth Voices

The assembly will provide students with a space to discuss how agrifood systems affect their communities and to exchange perspectives on possible solutions.

The dialogue will also connect young people across generations, allowing students to interact with educators, technical experts and other participants involved in food-system transformation.

What Participating Schools Will Gain

Schools and students taking part in the assembly will have opportunities to:

Eligibility Criteria
- The call is specifically open to secondary schools in Italy.
