CASH PRIZES: Apply for the Learning Planet Youth Design Challenge for young changemakers
Applications are open for the 2025–2026 Learning Planet Youth Design Challenge, an international initiative inviting young people aged 15 to 26 to shape the future of education and learning. Whether you’re a visionary entrepreneur, a creative innovator, or a changemaker driven by community impact, this challenge offers a chance to turn your bold ideas into real-world solutions that benefit both people and the planet.
Organized by the Learning Planet Institute in collaboration with UNESCO and the United Nations University (UNU), the Youth Design Challenge empowers young leaders worldwide to develop and present transformative projects that rethink education for a better future. Participants are encouraged to design projects that address key global priorities—environmental sustainability, community well-being, social justice, peacebuilding, and mental health—through innovative, learner-centered approaches.
Sixty projects will be selected to join an expert-guided training journey featuring capacity-building sessions, mentorship, and global exposure. From this group, twelve exceptional projects will be awarded a $1,000 development grant and celebrated across international networks for their outstanding contribution to reimagining education.
Submissions are open from October 1, 2025, and will close on January 15, 2026, at 23:59 CET. This is not just a contest—it’s a global movement to empower youth to design meaningful, sustainable, and inclusive learning for all.
