FUNDED: Apply to join Amnesty International Kenya as a youth delegate for the Global Assembly 2026/2027

Applications are now being accepted for the 2026/2027 Amnesty International Kenya Youth Delegate position. Amnesty International Kenya is seeking a young representative who will speak on behalf of the Kenya section at both the Regional Forum and the Global Assembly in 2026, with the role extending through 2027. This opportunity is intended for committed young leaders who want to shape policy, strengthen youth participation, and contribute meaningfully to global conversations on human rights.

To be considered, applicants must be 22 years old or younger, already registered as members of Amnesty International Kenya, and involved in an active Circle of Conscience. They need to be fully available for all preparation and training activities scheduled between January and July 2026, prepared to serve for the entire two-year duration, and genuinely passionate about human rights, leadership, governance, and youth advocacy. Candidates should be able to communicate effectively, collaborate with others, and reflect the diverse views and experiences of young people in Kenya. They must also embody Amnesty International’s core values, including integrity, courage, accountability, inclusion, and solidarity.

The Youth Delegate will take part in all national planning sessions ahead of the Regional Forum and the Global Assembly, participate in both virtual and physical leadership programs organized by Amnesty’s Global Children and Youth Team, and speak for the interests and priorities of Kenyan youth during international discussions. They will travel to the Regional Forum in 2026 as well as the Global Assembly in August that same year. After these engagements, the delegate is expected to return with insights that can strengthen youth involvement within Circles of Conscience and help prepare the next delegate who will take over in 2027.
