Youth and Environment Europe is inviting applications for the position of Advocacy Manager, a role that will guide and oversee the organisation’s advocacy work at the European level starting in March 2026. This opportunity is designed for early-career professionals who are deeply motivated by environmental and climate justice, youth participation, and inclusive, intersectional approaches to policy and advocacy. The successful candidate will be responsible for shaping advocacy strategies that ensure young people’s voices are meaningfully reflected in responses to the interconnected environmental, climate, and biodiversity crises.

The Advocacy Manager position will begin on 1 March 2026 and will run until 31 December 2026, with the potential for extension subject to available funding. The role is offered on a remote basis within Europe and involves a part-time workload of 25 hours per week, with a monthly remuneration of €2,251.99. An initial provisional period of two months applies, and an onboarding meeting is planned for late February 2026 to support a smooth transition into the role.

In this position, the Advocacy Manager is responsible for strengthening the consistency, effectiveness, and strategic direction of advocacy activities across the organisation. This includes guiding advocacy efforts across projects, policy engagement, and thematic focus areas, while ensuring that all positions and actions remain aligned with organisational values, grounded in evidence, and driven by youth-led and intersectional perspectives. A key aspect of the role involves transforming youth priorities and experiences into clear, actionable advocacy approaches that can influence decision-making spaces at European and international levels.

The Advocacy Manager works closely with the Advocacy Department, the Executive Board, and the Secretariat, and plays a coordinating role among member organisations, partners, and youth networks. By fostering strong collaboration and communication, the role supports member organisations in their advocacy work and strengthens collective engagement in policy processes. Through this coordination, the organisation enhances its capacity to promote meaningful youth inclusion in decision-making and to push for ambitious environmental protection policies.

When advocacy-related projects, campaigns, or events require support, the Advocacy Manager takes the lead in organising the process. This includes setting priorities, distributing tasks within the team, and maintaining communication with internal colleagues and external stakeholders to ensure that activities are delivered effectively and on time.
