COY21 TÜRKIYE: Apply to attend the 21st Conference of Children and Youth on Climate Change (COY21) in Antalya
Applications are now open for young leaders interested in joining the delegation to the 21st Conference of Children and Youth on Climate Change (COY21), taking place in Antalya, Türkiye, from 5–7 November 2026, ahead of COP31.
COY is the world’s largest and most significant gathering of children and young people focused on climate change. Organized by YOUNGO, the official Children and Youth Constituency of the UNFCCC, the conference is formally recognized as a preparatory space for young people ahead of the annual UN Climate Conference.
COY21 will bring together young people from around the world to build their capacity, strengthen climate advocacy, participate in practical training and negotiation-focused sessions, contribute to the global youth climate agenda, and prepare for meaningful engagement at COP31.
Selected delegates will have the opportunity to represent their communities, countries or regions in an international youth climate space, contribute local perspectives to global discussions, engage with other young climate leaders, and help shape youth priorities ahead of COP31. Delegates will also be expected to share the knowledge and commitments gained from COY21 within their communities and contribute to climate action at home.
To be eligible, applicants must be under 35 years old at the time of COY21, demonstrate an interest or track record in climate action, youth leadership or policy advocacy at the local, regional or international level, and commit to participating in pre- and post-COY21 delegation preparations, meetings and follow-up activities. Applicants must also be able to self-fund their travel to Antalya, Türkiye.
The organizers are particularly interested in motivated and passionate young people who can bring strong local perspectives, contribute to discussions and outcomes, engage in climate justice, policy or grassroots initiatives, and represent their communities or regions at an international level. The final selection will aim to promote diversity and balance across gender, geographical regions and areas of thematic expertise.
The application deadline is 5 September 2026.
Important: Applicants are required to complete the application independently. The use of AI to fill in the application form is prohibited, and applications found to have used AI may be disqualified.
