Selected fellows will have the opportunity to spend up to three months at the University of Oxford, where they will participate in training, attend workshops, develop research collaborations, and work with leading experts in biodiversity conservation. The fellowship allows participants to analyze datasets, develop conservation strategies, write academic papers, and build new partnerships that support environmental protection initiatives in Africa. 

The program also provides remote mentorship, networking opportunities, and professional support before and after the Oxford visit, helping fellows strengthen their long-term conservation work and maintain collaborations with researchers and institutions. 

In addition, the fellowship covers key expenses including international flights, visa costs, accommodation in Oxford, and a daily allowance for food and local travel, ensuring participants can fully focus on their research and professional development during the fellowship period. 

Applicants must be African nationals working in areas related to biodiversity conservation. The fellowship is open to professionals from NGOs, government agencies, businesses, or academic institutions who are involved in conservation work and want to strengthen their skills, research capacity, and networks. 

Candidates may be senior professionals seeking time away from their daily responsibilities to develop strategic conservation ideas, write research papers, or build partnerships that can improve conservation outcomes in their countries. Early-career professionals and researchers are also encouraged to apply, especially those who would benefit from training, analyzing data, developing publications, and building international collaborations.
