Applications are open for the Southern African Centre for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (SACREEE) Capacity-Building Programme, specifically targeting women entrepreneurs in the energy sector. This initiative is designed to strengthen the skills, knowledge, and business capacity of women-led energy enterprises across the Southern African Development Community (SADC) region. Participants will gain access to expert mentorship, specialized training, and networking opportunities, equipping them to grow sustainable and innovative energy businesses that can contribute meaningfully to the region’s clean energy transition and economic development.

Additional Information
Through this programme, women-led enterprises will be empowered to scale their businesses, improve operational efficiency, and strengthen their contributions to the renewable energy and energy efficiency sectors within the SADC region. Beyond professional growth, the programme fosters a supportive ecosystem where women entrepreneurs can share experiences, learn from peers, and receive guidance from established industry leaders, ultimately enhancing the sustainability and impact of their ventures.
Candidates are expected to possess foundational business experience and a vision for scaling their enterprise within the energy sector. In addition, applicants should be prepared to engage actively in all programme activities, including workshops, mentorship sessions, and peer-to-peer learning, to maximize the capacity-building benefits offered. Proficiency in English is recommended as the programme’s activities and training materials are primarily delivered in English.

Angola, Botswana, Comoros, Democratic Republic of Congo, Eswatini, Lesotho, Madagascar, Malawi, Mauritius, Mozambique, Namibia, Seychelles, South Africa, United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.
