FREE VIRTUAL EVENT: Apply to Participate in the Kenya National Youth Climate Statement Consultation (LCOY Kenya 2026)

Applications are open for young people to participate in the Kenya National Youth Climate Statement Consultation, an official engagement organized as part of the Local Conference of Youth (LCOY) Kenya 2026. This virtual consultation seeks to bring together young people from across Kenya to share their experiences, priorities, and recommendations on climate change and contribute to the development of the Kenya National Youth Climate Statement.

Kenya continues to face significant climate-related challenges, including prolonged droughts, floods, biodiversity loss, changing weather patterns, food insecurity, water scarcity, and growing threats to livelihoods and public health. Young people are among the groups most affected by these impacts, while also leading innovative solutions, community initiatives, policy advocacy, and climate action. The consultation will ensure that the voices of Kenyan youth are reflected in national climate priorities and will inform the Kenya National Youth Climate Statement, which will be presented during LCOY Kenya 2026 in preparation for the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP) under the UNFCCC.
