FULLY FUNDED TO USA : Apply for the William P. Fuller Fellowship in Peacebuilding 2026 

Applications are now open for the 2026 William P. Fuller Fellowship in Peacebuilding, a leadership development programme offered by The Asia Foundation (TAF) for emerging peacebuilders across Asia and the Pacific.

The year-long fellowship is designed to strengthen leadership skills, expand professional networks, and support professionals working to advance peace and conflict transformation through research, policy, advocacy, mediation, dialogue, and community engagement.

The fellowship provides a unique opportunity for early- and mid-career professionals to connect with experienced practitioners, policymakers, academics, and civil society leaders while building the knowledge and skills needed to contribute to sustainable peace across the region.

Programme Focus

Throughout the fellowship, participants will strengthen their leadership capacity while exploring practical approaches to conflict transformation, peacebuilding, dialogue, and collaborative problem-solving. Fellows will also develop professional networks that support long-term cooperation across the Asia-Pacific region.

Program Benefits
Selected fellows will receive:

- A fully funded two-week study tour and professional exchange in the United States (San Francisco Bay Area, New York City, and Washington, D.C.) scheduled for 10–21 November 2026.

- Access to virtual leadership and learning sessions through The Asia Foundation.

- A US$2,500 professional development grant to support a self-designed project or career development goal.

- Opportunities to engage with an international network of peacebuilding professionals and experts.
Eligibility Criteria
- Be 40 years old or younger during the programme year (born after 13 October 1986).

- Be nationals of countries where The Asia Foundation has an operational presence.

- Be able to obtain a U.S. visa (applicants from Myanmar, Afghanistan, and Laos must currently reside in the United States).

- Demonstrate a strong commitment to peacebuilding through research, policy, advocacy, dialogue, mediation, or community-based initiatives.

- Have at least three years of professional experience.

- Show leadership potential and a willingness to collaborate with other peacebuilders.

- Be fluent in written and spoken English.

- Be available to participate in all fellowship activities.
