FULLY FUNDED : Apply for the CircularEconomy4Ghana Innovation Challenge 2026
Applications are now open for the CircularEconomy4Ghana Innovation Challenge 2026, an accelerator programme designed to support early-stage agri-tech innovators developing circular economy solutions that improve food security, strengthen agricultural value chains, and promote sustainable development in Ghana.
Led by the Alliance of Bioversity International and CIAT through the Accelerate for Impact Platform (A4IP), the challenge brings together leading international organizations and ecosystem partners to help entrepreneurs transform promising innovations into market-ready solutions. Participants will receive business support, technical expertise, mentorship, market validation, and opportunities to connect with investors.
The programme is implemented in partnership with the International Water Management Institute (IWMI), United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO/ITPO), and E4Impact, with support from the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and endorsement from Ghana’s National Entrepreneurship & Innovation Programme (NEIP).

- Traceability, data, and supply chain efficiency for circular agricultural value chains.
- Inclusive circular business models that empower youth and women.

Selected innovators will receive:
- A fully funded four-day immersive bootcamp in Accra, Ghana.
- A three-month sponsored accelerator programme designed to strengthen business growth and market readiness.
- Tailored business mentorship from experienced entrepreneurs and industry experts.
- Technical guidance from CGIAR scientists and UNIDO specialists.
- Product validation and pilot testing with end users.
- Support in developing a strong go-to-market strategy.
- Access to strategic partnerships with agribusinesses and ecosystem stakeholders.
- Networking opportunities with investors and potential commercial partners.
- Deeper insights into Ghana’s agricultural sector and circular economy ecosystem.
- Have a working Minimum Viable Product (MVP).
- Ideally have tested their solution with end users.
- Be actively raising pre-seed or seed-stage investment.
- Address a real agricultural challenge within Ghana.
- Align their innovation with at least one of the programme's priority themes.
- Demonstrate the potential to benefit smallholder farmers and agricultural value chain actors.
