Call for Expressions of Interest: Host a Session at the Children & Youth Resilience Hub During UNCCD COP17
The UNCCD Youth Caucus has opened a call for Expressions of Interest (EOI) from individuals and organizations interested in hosting sessions at the Children & Youth Resilience Hub during UNCCD COP17, which will take place in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.
The Resilience Hub is designed to serve as an inclusive platform that amplifies youth voices and promotes meaningful participation in addressing global challenges related to desertification, land degradation, drought resilience, climate adaptation, and sustainable development. Through interactive sessions, networking opportunities, collaborative events, and advocacy initiatives, the Hub will bring together young leaders, technical experts, policymakers, civil society organizations, and cross-sector partners to exchange knowledge and inspire collective action.
Successful session hosts will have the opportunity to facilitate discussions, showcase innovative youth-led solutions, encourage collaboration, and contribute to regional and global conversations on environmental resilience and land restoration. The initiative also aims to strengthen partnerships and highlight practical approaches that support sustainable land management and climate resilience.
About the Children & Youth Resilience Hub
The initiative builds on the UNCCD's commitment to youth engagement through programs such as the UNCCD Youth Caucus, Land Heroes Campaign, Capacity Building Marketplace, Decent Jobs for Youth Initiative, and the Youth Engagement Strategy (YES). The Hub seeks to strengthen youth participation by creating a collaborative environment where innovative ideas and practical solutions can contribute to global efforts on land restoration, resilience, and climate adaptation.
Individuals and organizations already accredited for UNCCD COP17 are encouraged to submit an Expression of Interest to host engaging and impactful sessions during the Children & Youth Resilience Hub.
