Applications are now open for the WEFE4MED Summer Schools 2026, an international learning programme designed to strengthen knowledge and practical skills in the Water-Energy-Food-Ecosystems (WEFE) Nexus.

The programme combines online learning with an immersive, fully funded Summer Camp in Rabat, Morocco, bringing together young researchers, professionals, and practitioners committed to sustainable development across the Euro-Mediterranean region.

Participants will engage with leading experts, explore real-world WEFE solutions, and collaborate with peers through interactive workshops, case studies, and field-based learning activities. The programme also offers valuable networking opportunities through the growing WEFE4MED Community of Practice.

Programme Structure

The Summer Schools consist of three compulsory components:

• First Online Webinar: 6 October 2026
• Summer Camp (Rabat, Morocco): 12–16 October 2026
• Second Online Webinar: 20 October 2026

Successful applicants are expected to actively participate in all stages of the programme.

Application Requirements

Before submitting an application, candidates should ensure they have:

• Registered as a member of the WEFE4MED Community of Practice.
• Successfully completed the required WEFE4MED online learning modules.
• Prepared an updated Curriculum Vitae (CV) and any additional supporting documents requested during the application process.

Applications will be assessed based on the applicant's academic or professional background, relevant experience, and demonstrated interest in the WEFE Nexus approach.
