FUNDING AVAILABLE: Apply for a place at the Regional Conference of Youth for Oceania 2026
Applications are open for the RCOY Oceania 2026, the Regional Conference of Youth for Oceania, which will bring together young people from across the Pacific to connect, exchange knowledge, share experiences, and develop a common regional vision on climate action. Endorsed by YOUNGO, the Children and Youth Constituency of the UNFCCC, the conference will provide a platform for young people to contribute youth-led recommendations to climate discussions leading into COP31.
The 2026 edition will take place from 18 to 20 August 2026 at the Pacific Islands Forum Secretariat in Suva, Fiji. Participants will have the option to attend in person or participate online, making the conference accessible to young people across the region regardless of their location or circumstances. The organisers aim to create an inclusive and welcoming space that recognises the diverse backgrounds, experiences, and accessibility needs of young people in Oceania.
Those attending physically in Suva should note that they will generally be responsible for arranging and covering their own travel and accommodation. Limited support may be available for participants based in Fiji, subject to confirmation and availability. The conference will focus on strengthening youth climate action, amplifying Pacific youth voices, fostering regional collaboration, and ensuring young people have an opportunity to shape conversations and recommendations ahead of COP31.
Young people from across Oceania who are interested in climate action, youth leadership, and regional cooperation are encouraged to register to participate either in person or online.
