FULLY FUNDED : Apply for the SAIIA Africa Youth Portal and Research Programme 2027
Applications are open for the Africa Youth Portal and Research Programme, an initiative of the South African Institute of International Affairs (SAIIA) designed to support emerging young researchers from across Africa and the African diaspora as they build the skills, experience and networks needed to develop their research careers.
The programme combines an intensive week-long training workshop in Johannesburg with continued mentorship after the training. Participants will have an opportunity to strengthen their research capabilities, explore their proposed research interests and receive guidance as they work towards professional and research outputs.
About the Programme
The Africa Youth Portal and Research Programme is designed to create a pathway for emerging researchers who are beginning to establish themselves in research and policy-related fields.
The programme will bring selected participants together for an intensive training workshop in Johannesburg, South Africa, followed by ongoing mentorship to support their professional and personal development.
The 2027 training workshop is scheduled for 22–26 February 2027, although the dates are currently listed as tentative.
