COP28: Apply to be part of Climate Tracker’s Asia COP28 team in-person in Dubai!
Are you passionate about climate reporting and eager to engage with Asian perspectives on climate action? Would you like to produce stories from the forefront of global climate negotiations?
In 2023, Asia's global leadership on climate change is crucial, and we are searching for four fellows from the region to join our global COP28 team!
This fellowship is fully funded and aims to provide opportunities for climate journalists to cover critical issues in their countries and regions throughout the global summit. The fellowship will take place from November 30, 2023, to December 12, 2023, either in-person in Dubai or virtually.
🛬 In-person fellowship: Two fellows will attend the COP28 conference in Dubai, where we will cover the expenses of travel, accommodation, and provide a stipend. You will have the chance to engage firsthand with climate advocates, fellow journalists, and stakeholders from around the world.
💻 Virtual fellowship: Two fellows will be part of our global online reporting team, covering the conference in real-time from their respective locations. We will provide a stipend and support in accessing events and interviews for your reportage. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with a diverse group of climate journalists.
👩🏽🏫 Media training: As a Climate Tracker fellow, you will receive exclusive training and mentorship from seasoned journalists, experts, and past fellows. They will guide you through climate negotiations, help sharpen your reporting skills, and provide insights into effective communication strategies.
🤝 Global networking: Connect and collaborate with journalists, researchers, policy influencers, and activists worldwide, creating a comprehensive global reporting experience. Build lasting relationships, exchange ideas, and expand your professional network for future collaborations and career prospects.
🌏 Amplify your impact: You will have a global platform to shed light on the pressing climate challenges faced by Asia. Climate Tracker will support your stories in reaching a wide audience, creating awareness, inspiring action, and driving meaningful change.

Additional Information
Have at least 3 years of journalistic experience
Have demonstrated history in climate coverage (portfolio or at least 3 stories about climate)
Be a resident of an Asian country
Have an idea about the news outlets you intend to publish future COP stories with
