Catholic Relief Services' International Development Fellows Program is designed to prepare dedicated global citizens for careers in international relief and development work. Through this program, CRS empowers Fellows to enhance their skills, gain valuable field experience, and contribute to meaningful projects. Each Fellow collaborates with experienced CRS staff to address pressing issues in developing countries. CRS welcomes applicants from diverse backgrounds who share a commitment to the agency's mission and strategy.
The Fellowship is a distinctive 12-month professional development opportunity, aiming to equip Fellows for success in various future roles with CRS. It focuses on skill development in the following four areas:
1. Project Management
2. Project Design
3. Systems and Operations
4. Partnership
Minimum Fellowship Requirements:
- A graduate degree in a relevant field.
- At least six months of work or volunteer experience in a developing country.
- Proficiency in English with strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Professional proficiency in a second language (preference given to French, Arabic, and Portuguese).
- Willingness to work in locations with tropical and infectious diseases and limited access to medical facilities.
Benefits:

- Safe Furnished Housing: CRS provides basic furnished housing, including utilities, internet, and security services, usually located near the CRS office.
- Paid Time Off: Fellows are entitled to 20 days of paid vacation, 12 days of sick leave, and 4 personal days.
- Travel & Medical Evacuation: CRS covers relocation expenses, visas, inoculations, and offers 100% employer-funded medical evacuation for Fellows and their dependents.
- Retirement Benefits (403B): CRS provides a 50% match on the first 6% of contributions and a 7% contribution of pay, along with options for those without a social security number.
- Continued Education: Fellows gain access to CRS's online learning platform and can be reimbursed up to $5,200 annually for degrees and professional certifications after one year of employment.
