In continuation of the previous call for expressions of interest to apply for accreditation for COP28, scheduled to take place from November 30th to December 12th in Dubai, we are delighted to announce the reopening of the application process for the second round.

YOUNGO has been granted a certain number of badges through various partners, and these badges will be distributed to active YOUNGO members using the established pool-badge allocation system within YOUNGO, initiated in 2018.

To ensure a fair and inclusive selection process, a selection committee has been formed jointly by the GCT and YOUNGO. This committee will assess applicants based on specific criteria outlined in the Google application form, which includes:
- A clear understanding of the UNFCCC process.
- Prior involvement in youth and environmental initiatives, especially within YOUNGO.
- Plans for active participation at COP28.

It is essential for all applicants to understand the following:
(i) This opportunity does not provide any funding. Successful applicants are responsible for arranging and financing their own travel, accommodation, meals, and other logistical arrangements.
(ii) If your application is approved, the "accreditation letter" you receive will serve as a visa support letter. However, you are personally responsible for managing your visa application process and any related arrangements. YOUNGO GCT members bear no formal responsibility in this regard.
(iii) Successful applicants will receive an NGO-badge and must adhere to the NGO participation guidelines provided by UNFCCC. We strongly recommend that you thoroughly review these guidelines. Any violations of these guidelines will be your sole responsibility, and YOUNGO and GCT members will not be accountable for any breaches.
(iv) Any legal matters or issues that may arise will be directly handled between you, the NGO, and relevant law enforcement authorities. YOUNGO GCT members are not liable for any legal matters, and you indemnify them in such cases.
