Apply for this RESULTS Organizing and Advocacy Fellowship 2024

The RESULTS Organizing and Advocacy Fellowship 2024 is currently accepting applications until October 31, 2023. This fellowship aims to empower and train advocates who are dedicated to influencing political decisions that can lead to the eradication of poverty.

It provides a unique opportunity for young adults to expand their knowledge and experience in congressional operations and organization while actively advocating for critical poverty-related issues such as global health and affordable housing. The RESULTS Fellowship offers comprehensive training and support to enable fellows to effectively communicate, engage with the media, directly advocate to members of Congress, and mobilize their communities.

Over the course of 43 years, RESULTS has demonstrated that when individuals use their voices effectively, significant progress can be made towards ending poverty. Joining RESULTS means gaining valuable skills, interacting with Congress members in Washington, D.C., and contributing to key campaigns in 2024, which will focus on addressing the unequal impacts of COVID-19, ending the global tuberculosis epidemic, and addressing the affordable housing crisis.

Benefits of becoming a RESULTS Fellow include:

- Receiving extensive training and support to become a powerful advocate for poverty eradication.
- Writing articles and op-eds that can be published in the media.
- Learning how to influence your Congressional representative on issues like child survival, vaccines, and global nutrition.
- Becoming a proficient organizer capable of mobilizing your community to combat poverty.
- Having the opportunity to start your own RESULTS chapter or help an existing local chapter thrive.
- Participating in the RESULTS Fellowship Spring Summit to gain in-depth knowledge about RESULTS' priority issues and the federal budget process, followed by meetings with members of Congress.
- Attending the RESULTS International Conference, where you can hear from distinguished speakers like Dr. Paul Farmer, DeRay Mckesson, Marian Wright Edelman, former Prime Minister Julia Gillard, Clint Smith, Prof. Muhammad Yunus, and more.

Eligibility requirements for applicants include a passion for driving change and a commitment to anti-oppression, the ability to dedicate 3-6 hours per week and participate in bimonthly Fellowship Webinars, local group meetings, and the monthly RESULTS National Webinar, being between the ages of 20 and 35 at the start of the Fellowship, planning to reside in the United States from January to November 2024, and having experience in community activism, school activism, political campaigns, or other activities related to anti-poverty or social justice (though experience is preferred but not mandatory).
