Applications are open for the Governor's Award Bank of Canada Funded Scholarship . The Governor's Award Bank of Canada Funded Scholarship is available in Canada for postdoctoral study in macroeconomics, monetary economics, international finance, financial markets and institutions, labor economics, and economic growth. On or before 30 November 2023, you must submit your application. Citizens and permanent residents of Canada are eligible for the scholarship.

Academics who are acknowledged for their knowledge and research in fields critical to the Bank's basic responsibilities are given financial support through the Governor's Award.

Program Benefits

A $30,000 annual research award will be given as part of the Fully Funded Governor's Award Bank of Canada Funded Scholarship in Canada for up to two years.

Eligibility Criteria

Governor’s Award nominees are required to:

be Canadian citizens, permanent residents of Canada, or be otherwise legally permitted to work in Canada
conduct and support research in Economics or Finance in Canada (nominations where the majority of the research is in Canada could also be considered)
have obtained a PhD within ten years of their nomination
be employed by a Canadian university in an associate or assistant professor position during the term of the Award
