Applications are open for the  2024 Gates Cambridge Scholarship in United Kingdom. The University of Cambridge is receiving funding from The Gates Foundation. For international students pursuing Masters and PhD programs, the Bill and Melinda Gates Scholarship is available. With a separate application process and deadline for US citizens and the rest of the globe, the Bill Gates Scholarship is a fully funded scholarship opportunity for all foreign students (aside from UK nationals).

By giving the University of Cambridge US$210 million in October 2000, the Gates Foundation created the Gates Cambridge Trust. This continues to be the biggest donation ever made to a UK university. More than 80 scholarships are given out each year under the Gates Cambridge Scholarship program by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. While there are 55 scholarships available to students worldwide, only 25 are for students from the USA.

Gates Cambridge Scholarship applications for international and USA students open on September 4, 2023, with the deadline for international applications being December 5, 2024, and October 11, 2023.
