FULLY FUNDED : Apply for the DHS Fellows Program 2024
Applications for the 2024 DHS Fellows Program are currently being accepted by the Demographic and Health Surveys (DHS) Program. The United States Agency for International Development (USAID)-funded DHS Fellows Program is made to give nations more ability to analyze DHS Program data further.
The objectives are to teach fellows how to use DHS Program data for analysis and research, enhance their ability to incorporate data into instruction, and support data use at home campuses.
The DHS Fellows Program in 2024 will use a hybrid delivery method that combines two in-person workshops with online components.

Program Benefits
The selection of fellows will be based on their ability to improve the research proposal quality and data utilization at their home universities. Gender equality and past experience with data usage and statistical analysis will also be taken into consideration. Research, travel, and other costs will be covered by an honorarium of $3,000 that will be paid in installments. For the countries hosting the workshop, fellows must obtain visas.
Eligibility Criteria
Groups of two people from the same university who teach or do social science research can now apply for the DHS Program's Social Sciences Research Fellowship. Those who have simply taken part in workshops on service provision assessment or geographic information systems are eligible for the scholarship. Additionally, completing the online DHS Dataset User training is required for the fellowship.

Application Procedure
Each team must submit a single PDF application as part of the DHS Fellows Programme application process. A curriculum vitae, a short research proposal, and a strategy for building internal capacity should all be included in the application. The scope of the analysis, the research topic, and any relevant policy consequences should all be briefly described in the proposal. A plan for two capacity-building initiatives, one to be carried out between March 10 and April 8, 2024, and the other between May 15 and August 5, 2024, should also be included in the proposal. Candidates must show proof that their department has approved their full-time participation in the fellowship programme if they are chosen.
