The voices of youth and early career scientists are crucial in the climate movement, bringing energy, determination, and influence to the discussion. They have the power to compel those in positions of power to listen and act.
Arctic Basecamp is dedicated to empowering young individuals in their activism and career aspirations by providing them with valuable tools, scientific knowledge, and project opportunities. Our resources aim to give them the boost they need to move forward.
We currently offer the following opportunities and resources:
• Youth Ambassador Programme (applications now open; deadline: November 13, 2023)

Our Ambassador Programme:
Arctic Basecamp Ambassadors are young climate advocates and early career scientists/researchers who collaborate with Arctic Basecamp to amplify their message. The Ambassador programme's goal is to equip young climate activists and early career researchers with tools and connections to support their activism and future careers.
Being an ambassador involves a 1-year commitment and collaboration with Arctic Basecamp. Responsibilities may include creating and sharing content, delivering speeches at events, and more. In return, we offer scientific resources, networking opportunities within the climate community, promotion on our social platforms, and potential access to online and in-person climate events.

• Youth Climate Ambassadors (Deadline: November 13)
• Climate Science Ambassadors (Deadline: November 13)
Are you an early career scientist or researcher aged 22-30?
Climate Science Ambassadors collaborate with Arctic Basecamp and act as bridges between us, their communities, and peers.
What you will do:
• Utilize the platform we provide to discuss Arctic and climate-related science and contribute to the conversation.
• Enhance your resume by participating in short-term projects.
• Raise your profile in the climate field.
• Join us at global events, such as the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting in Davos in January 2024.
• Participate in press opportunities.
• Benefit from one-on-one meetings with our science and communications team.
• Engage with youth ambassadors and serve as scientific mentors.
