Leaders in civil society, journalists, and activists can spend three months in Prague as part of the Prague Civil Society Centre Fellowship Programme to reflect, refocus, network, discover new opportunities, and work on their projects.

Members of civic and non-governmental organisations, journalists, professionals, and researchers; advocates for the environment, culture, and cities; and human rights

people who are citizens of the following countries: Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Georgia, Moldova, Georgian Republic, Azerbaijan, Ukraine, Georgia, and Kyrgyzstan. You may reside in one of the nations or have your base outside of it, but applicants must already have a substantial amount of experience.

Age: by 2024, 25 is the minimum age to apply.

The Prague Civil Society Centre will assign three time slots for 2024/2025 fellowships: 15/09/2024 - 15/12/2024, 15/01/2025 - 15/04/2025, and 01/05/2025 - 31/07/2025.

Program Benefits

The Centre will pay travel fees, give a modest but pleasant apartment as well as a small daily stipend for living in Prague, and assist with acquiring a visa. You will also have access to a common office area with internet and a printer.

Eligibility Criteria

- Candidates with experience tackling new challenges—such as defying pressure, censorship, criminalization, security concerns, etc.—are especially sought after. In your nation or region, civil society and independent media -Must prepare for change, develop future plans, adapt their work to extraordinary conditions, and search for new sustainable models.
- Bolstering decolonial and anti-war movements
- Creating initiatives that address social work, environment, urban planning, human rights, or media in response to a need in the community
