Applications are now being accepted for the LIVE Innovation Fellowship, which will award a stipend to an aspirant or early-stage business owner with significant potential for turning technological or business model innovation into a profitable enterprise.The goal of the LIFE programme is to encourage entrepreneurship driven by innovation. In addition to cash awards, it offers qualifying innovators a distinguished forum and pre-incubation support at IIM Kozhikode's Entrepreneurship Development Centre, LIVE, to help them pursue their ambitious aspirations while lowering the risks associated.

The goal of the LIFE assistance programme is to assist innovators with their startup. The recipients would be eligible for the BIP for the incubation of their start-ups if, at the conclusion of the LIFE programme, they were able to launch a new business with a proof-of-concept or a Minimum Viable Product (MVP).

At the Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode, LIVE is a centre for entrepreneurship development and a business incubator. The Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, is supporting this, which was established by IIM Kozhikode.

How long will the LIFE assistance programme last?

The support will not last more than 18 months.
The grant assistance will end on the date of the first funding tranche if the LIFE beneficiary raises capital or investments for their company concepts or prospective start-ups.
With notification to IIMK LIVE and NSTEDB, IIMK LIVE reserves the right to end assistance for non-performing LIFE recipients before the full 18 months have passed.

A monthly stipend of Rs. 30,000/-for a duration of 12 months is provided by the LIFE programme, along with pre-incubation support, subsidised co-working space, professional services, and advice for establishing innovative ideas, as well as access to the networks of IIM Kozhikode and the LIVE Ecosystem and subsidised entrepreneurship training and workshops.

Eligibility Criteria

Indian citizens may apply for the LIFE award if they have completed at least four years of formal undergraduate or graduate study in science or engineering, or if they have completed a three-year degree or diploma programme and two years of full-time job experience. The grantee cannot be a major stakeholder or promoter of another business; instead, they must be a first-generation, creative entrepreneur without any previous sources of income. Students with creative ideas are encouraged by the programme to turn their ideas into goods or services that businesses may sell.

Application Procedure

IIMK LIVE verifies each applicant's eligibility after receiving proposals.

The qualified candidates will then be chosen for the next phase of selection after being carefully examined by the IIMK LIVE expert committee in accordance with specific qualification requirements.

The final pitch from the shortlisted candidates must be presented to the selection panel.
