Fully Funded by the Adidas Foundation : Apply for the United by Sport Program to promote Equality and Combat Discrimination

Applications for the United by Sport Programme are now being accepted by the Adidas Foundation. This programme supports organisations that fight against hate and discrimination, including that which stems from sexual orientation, age, gender, sex, disability, racial or ethnic origin, religion or belief, and gender, at various levels within the sports industry.

Program Benefits
Two funding categories are available for applications from organisations: General Programming Funding (up to 50,000 EUR per year for three years) and Project Specific Funding (minimum 150,000 EUR to 700,000 EUR). Projects must have a defined beginning and ending date. With the adidas Foundation's consent, they may be extended for a maximum of six months. To show the evolution of a project, progress and final reports are needed.
Eligibility Criteria
The Programme funds initiatives that use sports to address the vulnerabilities that prejudice, racism, xenophobia, and intolerance affect in particular communities and groups. It attempts to address hate and discrimination in the sports industry on various fronts. Developing knowledge products to address systematic discrimination, organising sports activities that bring communities vulnerable to fragmentation, designing and implementing strategies related to sports, providing access to coaches trained in anti-discrimination techniques, training and education initiatives, and capacity building within community organisations are all examples of eligible activities.

Application Procedure
Organisations must meet certain requirements in order to be considered for funding, including submitting the necessary paperwork, being financially stable, having open procedures, demonstrating safeguarding mainstreaming, not discriminating on the basis of gender, race, or ethnicity, and being active implementers of initiatives that use sport to combat hate and discrimination. They must be a legally recognised organisation with non-profit or non-governmental status in the nation, exhibit independence from political or religious groups, and be a Sport for Good organisation that combats hate and discrimination via sports or the sports industry.
