2,500 EUR GRANT: Apply for this IJNET and Dauphine University Paris Environmental Journalist Grant for young reporters globally
Freelance journalists are invited to apply for a reporting grant to support their ecological coverage. In response to the urgent need for environmental reporting and the financial challenges faced by journalists, the Association of Journalists-Writers for Nature and Ecology, in collaboration with the University of Paris Dauphine - PSL and the Madeleine Foundation, is offering two grants of €2,500 each to support freelance journalists in covering their reporting costs.
The application deadline is September 8, 2024. Any freelance journalist can participate, with a focus on supporting young journalists who would particularly benefit from this opportunity. Applicants must submit their proposals by email, including a completed registration form, a work proposal, a detailed synopsis, a budget, a CV, and three work examples.
The grant will be awarded to reports published in recognized French-speaking media, covering ecological themes such as nature conservation, sustainable agriculture, water management, and climate change. The winning reports will be showcased on the association's website and social media platforms. The official award ceremony will take place on October 3, 2024, at the University of Paris Dauphine - PSL.
