ACCELERATOR PROGRAMME : Apply for the 2026 Lagos State Public Service Accelerator Programme (PSAP)

Applications are open for the 2026 Lagos State Public Service Accelerator Programme (PSAP). This flagship leadership and capacity-building initiative is organized by the Lagos State Ministry of Establishments and Training to develop the next generation of public-sector leaders. The programme is specifically designed for high-potential civil servants serving on Grade Levels 12–14, equipping them with advanced leadership, governance, and management skills needed to drive innovation and improve public service delivery.

Over a three-month period, participants will engage in a hybrid learning experience that combines virtual and in-person sessions. The programme emphasizes practical leadership through expert-led masterclasses, mentorship from senior government officials, collaborative projects, and real-world case studies focused on governance challenges in Lagos State. Participants will also contribute to institutional knowledge by sharing what they learn with junior colleagues through the programme’s “Pass-It-On” model.

Program Benefits

Participants will receive intensive leadership training through expert-led masterclasses covering critical public-sector leadership and governance topics. They will benefit from one-on-one mentorship with Permanent Secretaries and other senior government leaders, gaining valuable insights and guidance for career development.

The programme also provides opportunities to work on applied case studies addressing real governance challenges, collaborate on projects aligned with the Lagos State T.H.E.M.E.S+ Agenda, strengthen digital governance and leadership competencies, expand professional networks across government institutions, and enhance their ability to lead reforms and improve service delivery. Through the “Pass-It-On” model, participants will further develop coaching and knowledge-sharing skills by transferring their learning to younger officers within their MDAs.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must be serving as Lagos State Civil Servants on Grade Levels 12–14 and demonstrate strong leadership potential. The programme seeks individuals who are committed to improving public service delivery, driving reforms, and contributing to the implementation of the Lagos State T.H.E.M.E.S+ Agenda. Successful applicants should be willing to participate fully in all programme activities, including virtual and physical learning sessions, mentorship engagements, collaborative team projects, and post-programme knowledge-sharing initiatives within their respective Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs).
