AIG Scholarships 2024: Enabling Exceptional West Africans to Pursue a Master's in Public Policy at Oxford University

The AIG Scholarships, introduced in 2017, offer a distinctive opportunity for outstanding West African individuals aspiring to serve in the public sector. This program allows them to undertake a Master of Public Policy at the University of Oxford's Blavatnik School of Government. With twenty-nine scholarships already granted, each worth over £50,000, these awards recognize and empower future public sector leaders who exhibit a fervor for advancing public interests.

AIG Scholars spend a transformative year at one of the globe's premier universities. They gain insights from accomplished academics and seasoned practitioners while engaging with fellow emerging public sector leaders from various corners of the world. Post-graduation, scholars return to their nations, applying their acquired knowledge to enrich policymaking, drive reforms, and contribute to national development.

Eligibility Criteria:

- Nigerian public sector employees (Federal or State levels)
- Aged between 25 and 45 years
- A minimum of seven years' combined private and public sector experience
- A bachelor’s degree with a minimum second-class upper qualification

Program Highlights:

Financial Support: Comprehensive funding covering tuition, living expenses, and a stipend for a summer project.
Coaching and Mentoring: Scholars receive robust coaching and mentoring to maximize their Oxford experience.
Career Development: Full assistance in charting career paths and accessing relevant opportunities aligned with their interests and Oxford-acquired knowledge.
