Applications Are Open: Share Your Story, Shape a Collective Voice on Sexual and Reproductive Health
Applications are open for girls and young women to share their anonymous stories with BOH Uganda as part of an ongoing creative project exploring Sexual and Reproductive Health journeys. Every woman carries experiences shaped by choices made, choices denied, and the quiet moments that influence our bodies, our futures, and the dreams we continue to hold.
BOH Uganda is inviting short, anonymous submissions that reflect the moments when your path shifted, when you had to stand up for yourself, or when decisions about your body were made beyond your control. These stories may capture courage, uncertainty, fear, relief, loss, or freedom. No experience is too small or too heavy to be shared, and every voice has value.
Selected stories will be transformed into poetic visual artworks and featured in a small print zine that honors the lived realities of young women and girls.
Submissions can take the form of a short letter, personal note, reflection, or a voice memo shared as a text-only transcript, with a length of 300 to 600 words. Entries should be sent to info@becauseofherug@gmail.com or submitted through becauseofherug.org.
This call is open to girls and young women aged 16 to 30 living anywhere in Uganda. The submission deadline has been extended to 29th January 2026, and this call is being reshared to reflect the extended timeline.
