Applications are open for the EvalYouth Asia 2026 Core Group, which is seeking young and emerging evaluators across the Asia-Pacific region who are interested in strengthening evaluation practice, youth leadership and collaboration.

The opportunity is designed for proactive volunteers who want to contribute their skills and ideas while working with a regional network focused on creating more opportunities for young and emerging evaluators.

About EvalYouth Asia

Since its establishment in 2019, EvalYouth Asia has worked to connect young and emerging evaluators across the region through networking, capacity development, knowledge exchange and engagement with the wider evaluation community.

Selected Core Group members will play an active role in shaping the network's activities and supporting initiatives that help young evaluators gain experience, build connections and participate meaningfully in the evaluation sector.

Key Responsibilities

Core Group members will be expected to:

• Provide strategic leadership for the EvalYouth Asia network.
• Design and implement initiatives for young and emerging evaluators.
• Support national and regional EvalYouth networks and encourage the development of new country chapters.
• Build partnerships with evaluation associations, development organizations and other stakeholders.
• Collaborate with the Asia Pacific Evaluation Association (APEA), VOPEs and regional partners.
• Participate in monthly Core Group meetings and contribute to planning and decision-making.
• Engage with EvalYouth Asia members and support community-building activities.
• Lead or co-lead at least one major initiative or workstream during the term.

Volunteer Commitment

The Core Group position is voluntary. Members are expected to dedicate approximately 20 hours per month to EvalYouth Asia activities.

In addition to regular meetings and community engagement, each member is expected to take responsibility for leading or co-leading at least one major initiative or workstream during their term.
